If I buy a Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 G AF-S DX VR Zoom Nikkor, will it work on my Nikon D80?

I love this lens. A friend has one, and I let's take a few shots on her camera with her. I'd love to have one, but want to make sure it works fine on my Nikon D80. Thanks! Jillian, I have one now.

It is. Actually going to work very well on anything, but the D700 and D3 of the series.
