What lens should I get?

Now, I have the money to get a Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8 ED AF-D, but I'm not sure if I want super go ahead and buy, or wait and save up to 70-200mm. And I know that most people would say .. oh yea cuz save up the 70-200 VR is a .. The only problem is im .. the person who likes things a bit now, haha, if you know WuT i mean .. and saving for that I will take a bit longer, cuz i dont have a job at this time. Right now I have about $ 1,250 in the bank, and the lens is $ 914, with the aim im also getting a SB-800. I want both things at the moment … so if I waited and got the 70-200 (in like a couple of months) I do not think I would be able to get the speedflash it. so to not have the VR 80-200, is there another important reason why the 70-200 is better? Im goin to use either with my D70

O lens will serve you well. Virtual reality let you shoot in light hand lower. You have to look at how important it is for you. for me it makes a big difference, but if the 80-200 is 2.8 compared to 70-300 from a 4.5 to 5.6 that can be compensated The 70-300 also has a Silent Wave Motor focus so fast and smooth.
