Why not autofocus Nikkor 70-300?
I looked up a Nikkor 70-300mm lens in B & H online shop. It is said that target when connected to a Nikon D40 will not auto focus capabilities. 1. Why is this? 2. Is it a problem? 3. It because that version of that goal requires a mechanical connection of focus from the body of the lens that the D40 and D60 do not have.
