Can a Nikkor 70-240 zoom 'bayonet mount be repaired if it has broken the lens barrel?
I guess I was a little hard on this goal. Can assembly has been changed to a metal frame on this goal? How much?
If the goal is dropped, would have struck the elements out of alignment, too. In this case, a repair could cost more than worthwhile goal. (Can not say for sure because I have never heard from 70 to 240, but with a plastic construction …) If you are fairly sure it's only fitting, this sounds like a DIY job. The cheapest product more of a beating with a metal mount Nikon lens you can find at a garage sale / 2nd hand store / eBay, and get to it.
