I can use a ring of investment with a zoom lens for macro work?
or is it better with a cousin? Obviously I can not use a G-type Nikkor lens without ring diaphragms. But, how to extend the ability to affect what I'm doing?
Why waste your money on a ring of investment? … Yes, you can do that, but a simple extension tube (varying lengths that macro will and subject to different distances from the target) will do the trick better, while the ability to be used on other targets regardless of the size of the crystal. I have taken photos with my 600mm macro extension tube using a simple and good using a long lens for macro work … not to frighten the subject if it is a dragonfly or a frog or something.
