First 35 mm Nikon lens … Questions or 50 mm?
Hi, I'm thinking of buying a new lens for my camera D5000. I was looking at getting the new AF-S Nikkor lens – 50 mm – F/1.8 and Nikon Nikkor lens – 35 mm – F/1.8 – Nikon F. I have enough money saved to buy the lenses, if necessary, but I really do not know if necessary. I know that the 35 mm would be better for shooting indoors without flash, but the 50 mm would be good for portrait photography as well as "normal" photography. Is there any significant differences I should know? Is it OK to buy both? Any advice would be useful. Thanks! Can anyone explain what a censor crop it? as I read in an earlier question is significant in relation to these lenses. Thank you!
DSLR usually come in two different ways: 1. Sensors crop 2. Full-frame sensor full-frame sensors are more large crop sensors. Sensors crops have a magnification value (usually 1.6) which means that if the lens says 50 mm, multiplied 1.6 to 80 mm of equality of the camera is a D5000, which means it is clipped. a 35mm lens would be the equivalent cut of a 50 mm lens. (That is, of course, the standard photo) If you change your body like a D700 or D3X (Nikon full frame bodies), then buy 50. However, if you stick to your body just get a 35. It will be perfect and within most other situations.
