nikkor slr lenses
Q: SLR camera lenses …?

I'm about to buy my first SLR (yay!), but had a quick question … My mom and grandmother were very much in the picture again when the cameras still had the movie (lol) and both have a whole lot of lenses I said I was welcome to take. They say that these lenses fit any camera body, but I fear that they will not … there are some companies that only adapt custom lenses (ie: Nikon Nikkor only fit with? lens does)? And if the answer to number 3 is "yes, you can use your new camera lens also ", then you can subtract the cost of total price objective of the camera (sold separately those, right?) thanks! <3

All camera manufacturers use a lens mount itself. Canon lenses only fit in the bodies of Canon, Nikon lenses only fit into the bodies of Nikon, Pentax lenses only bodies fit Pentax, Minolta Maxxum AF can be used in the current Sony DSLR cameras. The only exception is the old M42 screw mount lenses to be used once by several camera manufacturers they calculated how much money you could do with the proprietary lens mount. The older Canon FD (manual focus) mounted lenses will not fit the current Canon digital SLR cameras. List them on eBay or Craigslist. Canon EF (AF) mount lenses film EOS Rebel cameras can be used on Canon digital SLRs. Nikon lenses dating back almost 50 years can, with some exceptions, are used in the actual housing nikon digital slr. So if your mother and grandmother has a bag full of Nikkor lenses then buy a Nikon digital SLR camera and enjoy. If you have a bag full Canon FD mount list them on craigslist or eBay. If the bag is filled with Canon EF mount and then buy a Canon digital SLR camera lenses and enjoy .. If the bag is full of Pentax K-mount lenses and then buy a Pentax DSLR lenses and enjoy. If the bag is full of Minolta manual focus lenses listed on eBay or Craigslist. If Minolta Maxxum lenses total and then buy a Sony digital SLR camera lenses and enjoy.
