TEN POINTS FOR MORE USEFUL TELECONVERTER QUESTION?

I have a VR Nikkor lens 55-200 mm f4-5.6 would be a good idea to get a teleconverter nikon 1.7

By the numbers – with a teleconverter 1.7 to turn your 55-200 f4-5.6 lens in a 93.5-340 f6.8-9.5 sounds good … but realize that will only to be able to use it in lighting conditions outdoors (such as sporting events in broad daylight and with higher ISO settings). As a professional photographer, I would do the same with the 55-200. I only use a tele (up to 2 times) with either a 80-200 f2.8 or a "big glass" fixed focal length tele like a 300 or 400 mm f2.8. For me, the maximum opening loss and degradation of the image potential of using any teleconverter with a lens like a 55-200 f4-5.6 simply does not worthwhile. Just my professional two cents …
