Should I go for a Sigma 25 or $ 90 $ Nikon (35-105mm f 3.5-4.5)?
I am in front of two tenders for the zoom lens to photograph a wedding. (I already have but I need some lenses that will take me closer to the ceremony.) I need a lens that is affordable and something to deal with low light. Should I go for a 25 or a Sigma $ 90 $ Nikon (35-105mm f 3.5-4.5)? Give me your opinion about it and if you have any suggestions for other economic zoom to go, tell me what it is. Thank you.
A lens of f3.5-4.5 is not really suitable for low light conditions, no flash photography unless you're using a tripod and there is no possibility of movement of the subject. Of course you can always use a higher ISO for a faster shutter speed, but also have more digital noise. 105mm actually not as long a focal length especially in a large church. Back in my younger stupid day a friend and shot several weddings. Often uses a lens of 200 mm from the back of the church during the ceremony and it was not always enough focal length. If all your budget allows is $ 90.00 then buy the Nikon lens. A better option would be AF-S VR 70-200mm IF-ED f2.8G, but have $ 1899.95 in http://www.bhphotovideo.com one used for $ 1449.00.
