Tokina 11-16mm or 24mm Nikon 12 -?
I currently use a Nikon D40 shooting. I know that does not come with Tokina AF-S. Review says that the Tokina 11-16mm is better than cheap. Nikon 12-24mm and a lot of my question is this: 1. if you can afford the Nikon 12-24mm would you go for it or if you prefer to have a Tokina 11-16mm is better, according to reviews? 2. Is it possible to manual focus with the Tokina 11-16mm? (I have no intention of upgrading to something like a D300)? 3. what is the future of nikon camera bodies? (The Nikon one day produce his whole body to be like where you have a D40 AF-S for autofocus?)
In Actually, who said 11 to 16 mm Tokina lens is "better" than the Nikon 12-24 mm has a different set of criteria for pros lenses. My guess is that they were struck by the wide angle 11 mm gives slightly in the 12 mm. it is always better to buy the OEM lens .. in this case the Nikon 12-24 mm. It is true that Tokina is the best producer Generic lens and actually make a lot of Pentax lenses sold for digital SLR and Hoya make excellent filters. 1) I bought the 12-24 lens D100 mm for my first and now I use on my D300. 2) What Tokina say? http://www.tokinalens.com/products/tokina/atx116prodx-a.html 3) This is perhaps the biggest question important. NO. Upon leaving the entry-level cameras, while the top-level cameras do not need AF-S lenses for auto focus, which are actually Nikon version of the Canon USM lens. Auto-focus are ultra fast and quiet, super accurate focus. lenses. Nikon has 25 of these lenses and the passage of time, you will see more. Those of us who use D3 Nikon D300 camera and still find the AF-S lenses for the lens of choice even though you can use any of the ancients used Nikon AF lenses.
