PLEASE HELP! Nikon D3100 OR CANON REBEL T3?
I've had my heart set on a Canon digital SLR camera, and I'm on a budget. Just wait spend more than $ 800, but knew it could be for up to $ 1,000. Costco has a great beginner package for the Nikon D3100 for $ 730. (Glasses and all). Do not want to miss out on this great deal, but definitely NOT want to make a bad purchase for the price and I tend to Canon for quality. Any words of advice Nikon? If you had to get the value of their money and know about the cameras, as it would for? It's a personal choice, handle each camera to see what feels good in your hands. Both are good. But ask yourself this question. 1. Am I going to shoot any video and how much? 2. What menu system the camera is easier to use. 3. Who has the best deal. (Since it is a professional who wants to get the most bang for your buck) These are some the pros and cons of "dpreview" Nikon D3100 PROS ■ Very good image quality ■ intimidating interface, but with much manual control ■ Supports accessible Live View and movie controls ■ useful as a lever unit (only one SLR in this price) ■ The highly sophisticated system AF manual selection of price points ■ Easy off-center AF ■ unusually fast AF Live View for SLR (but still relatively slow compared with competitors without a mirror) ■ Lots of hand-holding "features for beginners (as a guide, help screens for most functions) ■ Much improved continuous shooting performance with active D-Lighting enabled ■ Many camera RAW conversion and post-processing options ■ Lightweight CONS tendency to overexpose in terms of proven ■ Buggy Live View / Mode movie (movies are not necessarily registered at the opening stage) ■ crude extension of live view is of little help for critical manual focus ■ No live histogram on ■ AF Live View is still a little slow Live View mode, the AF is not very effective in viewing live or movies directly ■ Only external ISO control is through a little inconvenient, since "Fn" button ■ ISO is only displayed in the viewfinder when you're changing (and not at all in ISO Auto) ■ Auto ISO logic is not well adapted for plinking every day (good for action though) ■ White balance too often under artificial light orange ■ ■ Do not succession exhibition does not focus all Nikon lenses (although most of the popular choices are available) —————————— ——- ——————————————- ——- CANON ——————————————- PROS decent resolution and detail ■ in ISO ■ consistent measurement basis of reliable and good precision AF ■ useful to highlight tone priority control ■ ■ intuitive user interface beginner-friendly 'Basic +' ■ The screen displays Q-The menu offers good access to the shooting settings ■ ■ Good battery life complete software package ■ ■ Attractive price point plastic CONS body is priced feel to it, no rubber grips ■ Very easy way video (no manual controls, only one resolution setting, no external microphone) ■ Very low contrast detection AF in Live View and movie mode ■ ■ comparatively small viewfinder combined battery / Card compartment can use the tripod a bit difficult to Flash ■ less powerful than the previous basic models ■ Canon shot continuous RAW mode slow ■ specification sheets a little weak compared to some competitors Hope this helps, by the way you shoot Nikon D300.
