How continuous HD video possible on the Nikon 3100?
Nikon DSLR go for 3100 so I can have and video through the same camera. I want to leave behind two cameras, one still and one video. I know the amount of high-definition video streaming is possible in 1080 D3100 camera. Can I take a video of say 30 minutes, if I get the proper memory card? I have learned some that can take only 5 minutes clips and I'm confused.
Nikon.com according to the maximum recording time for video on the D3100 is 10 minutes. which do not decompose more configuration the resolution or quality. get a larger card will not help. the bottleneck is the speed that the camera can be stored on the SD card. Instead, capture all video in its internal buffer memory. when allowed to complete the recording and you have to wait 10-15 minutes for the buffer to clear before firing again. this is a common problem in this class of camera.
