Nikon Af Nikkor 70-300mm F 4-5.6g

nikon af nikkor 70-300mm f 4-5.6g
nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6G AF Nikkor work with my D3000?

Right now all I have is the 18-55mm lens that came with the D3000 and I would like something that zooms in a bit more. I have looked at other lens that zoom in less but cost way more so I am not sure why this lens is so much cheaper but I just don’t know enough about photography to know if this lens will work or not.

it will fit, but you cannot autofocus with the lens.

For autofocus, you can only use AF-S lenses
