Nikon lenses for nikon d40x?
I'm considering buying a Nikon D40x. I have a Nikon F80, with the following objectives, wanted to ask if these older lenses that work with the D40x: Nikkor AF 28-80mm 1:3.3-5.6 G AF Nikkor 50 mm 1:1.8 Sigma Zoom 28-300mm 1:3.5-6.3 (DL Hyperzoom º 72)
All of these lenses will be mounted on a D40x and correctly meters. However, none of them autofocus with a D40x, since they all lack an integrated motor lens. If you do not mind manual focus, these targets are well:. Either my mind up to the D80, that FA with all of these objectives (the focus motor built in the body) or simply keep the 50 mm, and sell the other lenses to achieve new goals with the AF-S function. Honestly, if you have the standard 18-55mm VR and VR 50-200mm you cover the same range as these lenses. I keep the 50mm because 1) is a high quality lens and 2) is ideal for shooting in low light.
