L2 Nikon digital camera doors sticky lens / shutters?
I have a digital camera Nikon L2. I was recently on a roadtrip and a friend of mine had a can of Coke in his backpack. perforated soda. My camera was in his backpack as well, in one case, and coke is the lens of my camera wet, and the small lens doors / windows / whatever they're called. Now when you turn the camera, telescopic zoom barrel still works, but the windows do not open soon. Investigated this and talked to a guy at the local electronics store suggested a cuetip alcohol. I tried, but does not clean the back door shortly. Is there any way to solve this problem without having the camera to a technician? The cost would be more than the camera is worth now, but I'm not ready to buy a new camera just because the doors of the lens are not working properly. Any suggestions?
