What kind of camera bag should I buy for a trip Grand Canyon? I also buy a generic lens?

I have a Nikon D50, 28-80 lens, SB-600 and Sony Handicam. My plan is to buy a wide angle lens before the trip. I can just take my wide angle lens and leave at home 28-80.
