The best way to travel with my Nikon D90?

This is my first camera of this size / type that I bought for my trip to Hawaii coming up soon (the Wedding / honeymoon / vacation) =) One of my concerns is how to travel, and pack the camera perform? I'ma very small and probably I have my laptop in my hand luggage too, not to mention my wedding dress. Two, not the point three, which are expensive not really want to damage. I feel the camera is too big and bulky for me with 18-105mm lens, but I have beautiful pictures. Advice and suggestions are welcome. Getting another camera is not an option.

MP, I try to travel as much as possible and the number one rule is that my photography equipment should be with my luggage. What I have done is to buy a carry place that is as large as the regulations allow (very little can be with different airlines). My conduct has wheels so you can roll a need to weight of my later. Then in my bag is a bit tight compact backpack style camera bag is a Lowepro bag brand and the model is called the other side (I the Flipside 300 mdoel). The camera bag is two cameras and everything of value that can squeeze in the rest of the luggage space is filled with a travel tripod and certain other items, some clothes and some cables / chargers. I wish there was still room for my laptop in the handbag, but at the time there is not. So I have to have a laptop bag with laptop, iPod, items from another person. You are allowed, along with her handbag purse, briefcase or laptop. In two rare cases that have addressed a smaller place with the storage of smaller head and I said I would to check in my hand luggage – so you can get the backpack camera bag for storage and I heard the carrying bag check without cameras the same. When I reach my destination I have in my large checked in the luggage of a smaller camera to take my cameras. Wedding dresses are a matter that I can think or may not be of little help. Below I have provided some links that may be helpful; eBags site is ideal for research styles and types of luggage, two sites manufacturers of popular camera bags (Lowepro and Tamrac). Photo.net where you can post questions to other photographers who deal with travel issues. Also sellers photos in case you need just the price of an item shop. Have a great trip, and the wedding.
