Is this a good battery of a camera?
I recently got a new Nikon Coolpix S3000. It has a lithium battery, so you can not change batteries during the day if the battery is low. I looked up the battery life on Google, and says, "Approx. 220 shots with EN-EL10 battery." Is 220 shots with the battery is good? How long it will last, time wise?
The real life of the battery depends on: 1) how much time U use the LCD screen and 2) the frequency with U flash. If U do not leave the LCD screen all the time and does not need flash, U will get more pictures. On the other hand, if u spend time with LCD screen on and is using the flash a lot, the battery will drain faster. Therefore, 220 shots is an "average" based on a typical user. For a point and shoot camera, that's a lot of photos during a typical day. Just remember to recharge the battery every night when U get home or back to his hotel room (if ur on vacation), and you should be fine. For most people, when a camera battery die during the day, you do not charge it last night. Lithium batteries will hold a charge for a while, even when not in use, but if U have been using the camera to a large extent, it is best if u can recharge.
