File names with my Nikon D90?
Every time I take a photo with my Nikon D90 that DCS_0001 the file names, and that's no big deal. What bothers me though when I take the pictures off the memory card, and put back into the camera, the file name starts back in 0001, which makes things very difficult for me to store my photos. Say I have a whole folder of photos with dogs, and there are two images DSC_0020, I have to change the name of one. I have a Scan Disk Ultra II 8GB memory card if it could be the problem. So I guess my question is, how do I get my camera to save the numbers differently? PLEASE HELP!
Go to the screen shot (Menu D) file numbering sequence is D-7 is the file numbering sequence you can find it on page 182 of the manual. If you are using Photoshop you can set it there to rename based on GPS information or the date of the Exif data files
