Why not read my macbook pro my Nikon camera as an external device?

When I connect my Nikon Coolpix S630 camera to the USB port of my MacBook Pro, which does not recognize the camera as an external device, nor appears in the Finder. How I can fix this?

Other teams do not recognize? "The camera comes with a CD? If you have software for Mac, install it. Or get a card reader.
