What is the next goal should I get for my nikon digital slr?
Hi, novice photography enthusiast here. I have a Nikon digital SLR with 18-200 mm lens. I'm looking to get two goals with my taxes. My budget for each is around 500 or less. First, I need a micro lens to try to capture sharp / crisp insects flowers, etc. The second lens, I need something for my 18-200 mm does not seem to have little sufficient depth of field (blurred backgrounds). So I was thinking of getting a 50 mm f / 1.4 to blend funds and still have a sharp focus on the subject. Does 50 mm f / 1.4 to be good for this? O 18-200 mm lens because I have to get something else? Thanks! PS I have is a D300 camera, which is too much for camera me at the moment. I upgraded from a G-10 to D300, big step, but I'm glad that I have, I love the build quality as opposed to the rebels.
