What is a good brand of filter lenses for Nikon? What kinds of common filters is needed most of the photographers?
Hoya is a good brand? No gray market filters exist only as gray market cameras and lenses? And if there is better to stick with the U.S. brand? Thanks in advance for any advice.
Most filter effects can be added by the software later. In these days do not bother with any type of filter color. The only two I think I am using in the field of landscape photography is a circular polarized and graduated neutral density filter. I do not use a UV filter to "protect" the front of the lens, instead to be careful with my team. I think any extra item placed on the objective should introduce some type of distortion no matter how small. The circular polarized filter must be a standard part of any photographer's kit. Hoya is a good brand, but have different levels. The "Super Quality" are the best, though more expensive. Graduated neutral density filter is a different creature. The style used only as the system Cokin where there is an adapter and a square of filter that can slide through the bracket and therefore adjust. This involves some initial installation costs as adapters are required for each diameter different lens you have. It is the only system that works well in my opinion, however. Greetings, teef_au
