What is with you people dropping your Cameras??
Digital Cameras are NOT toys. Especially the DSLR’s. Lay off the greasy food. Wipe your hands before you start taking pictures.
Why are people dropping them? Once they are dropped onto a hard surface, they are probably done for. Go buy a new one.
One would think that something that cost between $150.00 and possibly $1000.00, that a bit more care would be taken.
Personally, I have fallen twice while holding my camera. Once by something sticking up out of the ground, my foot hit it and I went flying. The other was on ice. It is amazing how fast one can turn their body to save a $500.00 DSLR NIKON D50 camera. Both times, my shoulder and side took the brunt of the fall. The neck strap was invaluable in both instances.
But in a years time, I have never dropped the camera or any of its lenses.
America, can we please take better care of these cameras?
