Nikon D40, D60 or Sony A200?

which is the best budget DSLR? The A200 sounds good but seems a bit bulky and cheap looking. I was looking at the D60, but I read a review of Ken Rockwell said the D40 is better value. Everyone here says that though the D40 is a toy, now I'm confused. What camera should I go?

The D40 and D60 have been suspended. Both models lack a focus motor in the camera body for the selection of the target had to be AF-S or AF-I lenses and models had their own focus motor. Also 3 years the technology of the year and that is old in the DSLR world. The Sony A200 is being replaced by the A230 so you should find some good deals on the A200. However, for about $ 100.00 plus you can get the A300 (to be replaced by A330) it has Live View, which works with auto focus. Another consideration is that the Sony version of image stabilization (IS, which Sony calls Super Steady Shot) is in the camera body. Therefore, any lens attached becomes an IS lens. Nikon and Canon IS (Nikon calls it Vibration Reduction – VR) in select lenses so you get to pay for IS / VR and again. You can also use all Minolta Maxxum AF lens made since 1985 with the line SLR Sony digital so your options are very wide lens. Sony A300 w/18-70mm and 55-200mm lens, $ 799.99 at B & H w/18-70mm lens Sony A230, $ 549.99 at B & H w/18-70mm Sony A230-200 mm lens and 55, 749.99 dollars on the B & H w/18-70mm lens and Sony A330 Live View, $ 649.99 at B & H w/18-70mm Sony A330 and 55-200mm lenses and Live View, $ 849.99 at B & HB & H lists the A300 w/18-70mm as discontinued stock no. http://www.bhphotovideo.com The A230 and A330 are new models Why are you wasting your money on a D40 or D60 which are relatively old models?
