Nikon F55 does not light, but the batteries still work?

hola! I've been using my Nikon F55 for almost 4 years. I turned off the camera after use and after less than 5 minutes, decided to turn it on again to use, but it will not. I'm pretty sure the batteries are not drained and low. what might have been the problem? before you turn on the guy I was pushing buttons on the camera. could be something pushed? I think there is no center Nikon service here in the Philippines. I'm lost!
