Conclusion

Nikon had a great idea with the Coolpix S70 OLED making it instead of the common super LCD screen. The OLED screen gives you a great advantage in situations of bright light, but not better when measuring the resolution. Something else that is unique about the Coolpix S70 is that the OLED screen is touch screen enabled.

The idea of using a screen Touch is not new, but still new for most people who do not pay attention to such things. Nikon's touch screen is the only button on the back of the S70 is not good because the touch screen experience performance uncertain.

The Nikon Coolpix S70 features lots of fun things which are quite attractive and would be reason to buy any other camera, but the only negative outweigh the positive. The S70 looks great and is slim and elegant, but is just to expensive and touchscreen technology in itself is not exactly perfect and the resolution is not better than other cameras in the price range of $ 250-300.

Pros:

  • Small, portable
  • It looks good
  • HD video capable
  • OLED display / screen a good idea and saves energy
  • Shutter Touch

Cons:

  • The image quality is questionable, sometimes
  • Defective touchscreen
  • overexposed images
  • No high-resolution OLED
