The dust on my sensor?
I sent my camera (Nikon D40) at the service center to Nikon for cleaning (as it is still under warranty). I was really clean when recovered. The funny thing is I never got my kit lens from the day I got it back (and since this is the only objective I have in this time) a few months after I was surprised to see several dust specifications (Between 7 and small patches large) in my photo. Any idea how this can happen? How I can prevent this in the future? Thanks
Have you ever taken out secure digital card? How about the battery? Since the D40 is not dust and sealing the doors also allow dust to enter your body of the camera. The best thing to do is clean the sensor itself periodically through the use of something as the Giotto Rocket Air Blower. http://www.giottos.com/CL.htm
