What is the best, Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S980, Coolpix S230 or Nikon?

I will be getting my fiance a camera for her birthday, and I very confused between the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S980 and the Nikon Coolpix S230. Sony cameras have experienced before and I know they are great, especially since this is Sony's 12.1 MP Zoom 4x. I've also heard that Nikon are also good. This is 10.1 MP 3x zoom and a 3 "screen Touch LCD. I need to know to give me the best option quality, value, options will be easy to use. Thanks.
