I'm thinking of buying the Nikon Coolpix P500. Any ideas?

I've been looking into the camera and looks really good. I wondered if there was a best camera out there likes this price range. Looks like a great camera, especially with the 36x optical zoom attractive. Not to mention that you have the total control over exposure. However, there is a competitor for the same price – the Canon Powershot SX30. You can compare specifications of the two chambers "below.
