Nikon Coolpix Linux

Linux Mint?

I can not get my sisters camera to work in Linux Mint. When I connect it asks me if I choose to import photos and, yes, but not okay. I think the camera is a Nikon Coolpix L12. The camera works well in Ubuntu, which is weird because Linux Mint is completely based on Ubuntu. Any idea?

I had the same problem with my kodak my nesest box comes with a dashboard and the media that you can remove the SD card and install that works as a charm. I had some distros work well with my Kodak and the next time you install the distro did not work well no idea why
