Computer wont recognize Nikon Coolpix (S210) camera ?
When i plug it into my windows vista computer, i turn the camera on ( I HAVE TRIED IT OFF), and the camera come on. thats all! its still in camera mode.
nothing pops up on the screen
nothing happens on camera (except after a while it turns off)
everything is plugged in!

Are you trying to get pictures you took with the camera onto your computer?
Take the memory card out and use an SD card reader attached to the USB port of your computer. I have many digital cameras and I never hook them straight to the computer. I always use a memory card reader to transfer the pictures to the computer. If you look around, you can get a dedicated SDHC USB 2.0 reader for about $5-$10, or a reader that reads ALL memory cards for about $15-$30. You should make sure the reader is USB 2.0 and that it can read SDHC cards, but by now, almost all readers to this.
