The computer does not recognize the camera?

I have a nikon coolpix s560 digital camera and works perfectly fine. But when I connect to upload photos if cameras, the screen goes black and if it is and turn it on, the screen goes black, though it is. Any help on why my computer does not recognize my camera?

Buy a card reader and you will not have to worry about your computer to recognize your camera because the camera is not involved at all. Connect the reader to the USB port of your computer and insert the memory card into the reader. Much easier and faster. They can be found in most stores that sell digital cameras, and are only about $ 10. Just be sure to get one that will accommodate your cards.
