Nikon Coolpix Sr

Coolpix p7000 or p500?

I am wanting to buy a nice camera but I cant decide between the Nikon p7000 or the p500. They are both relatively similarly priced. If you are a camera expert/have owned one or both of these cameras give me some advice.
p500

Two things stand out.

* The P500 has a longer optical zoom ratio
* The P500 uses the newest sensor technology, the BSI-CMOS, which reduces image noise at high ISO settings

Of course the P500 is a newer camera too
