Digital SLR lens compatibility. Should I wait or buy lenses now?
HI, I learned that the camera I'm looking to get (nikon d3000) uses a different lens than the Nikon bodys high end because the high-end bodys have the AF motor in the body, where the low end (the Nikon d3000) is in the lens of kit. I know it will update once I get good at photography bodys and grow out of the camera. My question is should I buy lenses that all features will work with d3000's right now and can not use them when you upgrade or buy lenses that work with the body's top and the sacrifice of AF at the moment? or I just use the lens d3000 kit with, and buy lenses when you upgrade to a high-level body? thanks
Depends on what you want to go order. You need to buy AF-S for the D3000, but the work goals in high-end organs as well. End higher bodies must focus on the engines of the body but can still use lenses that have in engines of the lens. In most if not all new top-level windows are in the engines of lenses too. D90, D300, D300s (APS cameras high end C) Unless you move over full frame. These require FX camera lens, and most beginners are DX lenses. D3 cameras like glass require updated ($ 5000) D3x ($ 8000) D700 ($ 2500)
