Good DSLR Digital Camera Choice?
I have a Nikon N90 w / all lenses, etc. I understand that can be transferred to digital Nikon SLR cameras determined. I want to upgrade but its high cost. So I want a digital camera (not a point and shoot) do not have to rescue my first child in the definition, under 400. I read the nikon d3000 is good, but there is something comparable for less PIX making $?
Do not be afraid to buy a used digital body. The The sad thing is that people think they need the new body to take great photos. So get expensive camera bodies every 18 months. The good news is that there are some great bargains in the camera used bodies. The cameras then I suggest probably a great job with any goal you have. They all have the built-in motor for autofocus to any Nikon AF lens. But the agencies have a DX format sensor smaller than 35mm, so your lenses look a bit more. 1.5x focal length is the length equvialent normal. Therefore, a 100mm lens in the N90 seems like a 150 mm lens on these bodies. Check out http://www.keh.com/Class-Products/1/DN/2/79275/WG.aspx D50 – ~ $ 250 (same sensor in the D40, D70 – 6 megapixel, body etc Great!) D70 – D80's predecessor. D50 Basically a more professional with some features such as Wireless Flash Commander Mode. ~ $ 350 or less D80 – D70 Latest: 10 megapixels and a few other equipment. This runs just under $ 500. But it is, far, a better machine than the D3000. I recently got a D60 and I'm still kicking for not getting a more professional camera, used for more cheap. Not that the D60 is not very big, but I'm ready for something with more professional features, and I have hit the wall as soon as I had bought a D70 or D80 one.
