Generic Battery for DSLR?
How are generic batteries for digital SLR? I just got one from a camera store made by a local company called "digital concepts" and an in-EL9 for D60. Is there any possibility that damage my camera, delete images, or affect it in any way? I mean, its generic, but the values that it and its packaged very well and says he has a year 5 warranty. It is the same as my Nikon V BATT. but compared to the 1200mAH 1000mAh Nikon. I have not opened yet as I am a little afraid of something online after it said it could delete your images and the like. If I open it i dont think theyll take it back. theyre not very good there, but the battery was pretty cheap. $ 26 compared to Nikon $ 45.
The warranty probably does not cover damages caused to the camera, so you'll get a free replacement for the battery, but camera circuits are fried dead forever.
