D7K vs Nikon D90? Trying to juggle options here.?
I've been out of the loop of the photograph of a couple of years and have been looking for start again. Really think about grabbing the D90 as the price dropped due to the release D7000. I can get the D90 w / kit lens, 2 SDHC cards, a pair of filters UV, and a 55-300mm lens for the same price as the D7000 with only a kit lens … But then I'm sacrificing the video of 1080, weather resistance, the body magnesium (I understand that only the top and rear) and the use of ISO 3200 for greater sensitivity with a similar image quality to ISO 1600 in the D90 in low light. But who cares if I'm rolling with af/1.8 cousin? One of the annual events like shooting Universal's Halloween Horror Nights, which is mostly dark as hell. I would But rather than telephoto. It's like $ 100 cheaper package if bought separately as well. I'm just worried about the future. I feel like my last one D7000 longer, which is the newer model. Opinions?
The D90 with a kit lens and an additional good lens that will work best with only D7000 a kit lens. Note that the time stamps of the D7000 only offer very limited protection, and also have time professional grade lenses sealed if you really want to test them. Otherwise the camera could survive a little splash of water, but its objective is not … so I think almost a non-issue. Whether it's a little better high ISO performance 1080p video and worth it for you, only you can decide for yourself. The D90 still has the same sensor as the venerable D300s. You will not overcome in the short term, unless specific attention to the video features.
