Nikon D7000 External Microphone

Is it possible to use an external microphone with the Nikon D90?

I’m stuck between the D90 and D7000 – and money is important.

I want to know: does the D90 have the ability to record sound with an external microphone during movie mode (either via the hot shoe or a line-in microphone jack).

Thanks.

The D90 has a built in mic, it does not have the ability to connect an external (boom, wireless, ect) mic.
