What would you choose? D90 or D7000?

Should I get a Nikon D90 with multiple lenses or a lens with the kit D7000 comes with? I do not consider a professional, but I like photography major in the future.

The D90 is a great camera. Have not owned one, I have the D80, but I just upgrade to the D7000. The D7000 has the latest technology and is compatible with most Nikon lenses. This is a digital SLR that can grow and learn, the more use. Now D5100 DSLR Nikon has coming out sometime in May. That one has some nice features for less money than the D7000. But it has everything the D7000 can give. A disadvantage of others with the D5100, you have to use the AF-S lens with it. It gives limited options in the lenses autofocus camera. AF-S means that the lens has to have the autofocus motor in the lens, because the body does not. You can go to Nikon website and compare different cameras and find out which one best suits your needs. You can also go to a local camera shop and take a look at each person in front and compare that way. The kit lens is not really that bad. It does a decent job. As time passes, you can / will always add to your collection.
