Do I need a flash exposure meter if I'm using a Nikon D80?

I am using a Nikon D80 in models with a 500watt light inside. I do not use any flash at all. Should I have a flash exposure meter? Or is the built in light meter good enough? Usually I only shoot manual 1 / 250 f7.1

If you are not using a flash, why do you need a flash meter. If you are using a hot light 500 watts that the camera meter should be fine. The beauty of digital is that you can review the shot immediately. If you notice a little that you can make adjustments.
