D5000 Is the Nikon or Nikon D90 right for me?

I've always been into photography, photo editing and graphic design. Recently my interest I decided to take the next level and buy a digital SLR. My plan is to learn the camera I choose front and back, take digital art classes and participate in workshops with professional photographers. I'll start by taking pictures for fun, family and friends, vacations and holidays. My goal is to convert the time of my fun hobby into a career. I am interested in both the Nikon D90 and D5000. I held both cameras in our local best buy. I like the feel of the D5000, is lighter and more compact. Yes, the D90 has more features so it is a bit bulkier. I'm also a bit concerned that if D5000 choose I'll grow out of it too quickly. The price is not an issue. Tell me a little about each camera, good and bad. Help me decide which camera Nikon is right for me? Any other suggestions may be helpful.

If the price does not matter, thank you for following the D90. You DEFINITELY beyond 5000 – is designed to be a super easy beginner digital SLR. With this in mind, it lacks a few key features that sets the apart-D90 for me, the real problem is the hard buttons. The D90 lets you change almost all settings instantly with a single button and the wheel, where in the D5000, you gotta go menus, a real pain when you're shooting fast. In addition, the D5000 lacks an internal focus motor, which means it can not autofocus with older lenses. It also can not use the pop-up flash to control remote flashes, which may or may not care about (but, at some point you may be …). And, NO has a depth of field preview button (DOF). The D90 has two control dials in front of a D5000, for easier control and more access to configuration. It All that the 5000 has I prefer the swivel LCD, but I just use Live View anyway. The D90 is also better built and I think the trigger has an index Shooting high, which means that last longer. And it has a high-LCD, which I find to use all the time. The 5000 lacks an LCD screen on top. Both cameras produce very similar images, but of course you can take amazing photos with anything if you know how. In short, you will never regret buying quality does not really have negative comments about the D90 is just a great and well thought out tool. Each button feels exactly when I need it. In terms of weight, you get used to it, never notice it unless I am shooting all day with my 70-200mm. The first link is a great page comparing the D90, D5000, ans a Canon Xti. The second is dpreview take on the D90. Http: / / www.dpreview.com/ http://www.digitalreview.ca/content/Nikon-D5000-D90-Compared-to-Canon-Rebel-T1i-500D.shtml reviews/nikond90 /
