I only notice that the screen does not show the image when shooting (Live mode), just after you clicked.

A great entry level DSLR
For anyone who is just beginning, this is a great camera for a great price for learning. Beginners will also appreciate shooting in "Guide" which is a basic tutorial. The camera has its limitations, is a very "low cost" product. In the digital point and shoot, most consumers are used to seeing live back panel LCD screen. This means that what you see on screen is the picture captured. Battery life, I find to be excellent. And as with all Nikon I have used, once one knows how to operate the camera, image quality is insurmountable. This kit lens is also great to learn, but after a couple of weeks of use, I think most people will find it very limited. Especially in creative photography. For either of the limited funding available, recommended me buy this camera and slowly upgrade to better lenses. If you can spend more $ 1000 would, hands down recommend the Nikon D90 with Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II AF-S VR telephoto zoom. For mid-range, the D5000 with a Nikon 18-200mm lens. great camera starting
This is a great camera to start. I bought it for my son's class digital and is doing very well with him. The only negative is that the camera can take pictures using the camera screem. However, this is a future in the further advancement nikon models.
