New 50mm f1.8 lens is not fully operational in my Nikon D70?
I just bought a new objective, which was a 50mm F1.8 lens Nikon (description on the link below) http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-50mm-Nikkor-Digital-Cameras/dp/B00005LEN4/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1? ie = UTF8 & s = electronics & qid = 1215695432 & Sr = 8.1 I bought for my Nikon D70 digital SLR, but then gives me the perspective of the measurement systems of the camera does not work (instead f show the number on the screen of the camera, sample f – -), and the autofocus does not work (still manual focus and take pictures though) However, I'm more concerned with the measurement of work not auto focus. I tried clicking the "locking lever open" in its place, but the camera not yet measured. I've never bought a major goal before (I just had a kit lens Nikon) Does anyone know why the measurement would not be working? Is this the wrong type of lens for the camera? This should be fine. The f – error says it is a CPU lens, which is, of what should or should not be connected all the way or is defective. Sorry if this is too important to you, but make sure that the goal is to turn all the way to the index line (between the word and number Nikkor 50mm) is at top dead center. If you can rotate the lens at all (ie only a fraction of a millimeter) then it is locked in place. The objective should not move at all unless you press the button blocking the lens. If the lens is in place, should not get the f – error, even if you had not blocked the opening of f/22. In addition, the autofocus should work, even if it has blocked the opening of f/22. Make sure you do not bump the switch AF / M on the side of the lens mount, while you are attaching the lens. Must be in "AF" for auto focus. If your goal is the way as described, you must return the target for replacement if a new purchase.
