Lithium batteries are OK to use a Nikon F5?

it seems that used in my old F4 without any problem. but learned that may be unsafe … Is this true? only last for so much more and are much lighter. thanks

I used lithium batteries in all my digital cameras without problems. You may be thinking of rechargeable lithium batteries that have had some security problems.
