what kind of lens Do I need to take baby pictures?
I just bought a nikon d3000. I'm expecting a baby in a few months and was interested in taking photographs of my child. I love the pictures with the newly born beanie hats and cacoons. I was wondering if someone could suggest a goal to help me take great pictures. I've been reading about the Nikon 35mm f/1.8 DX. Can anyone help? thanks
The 35-mm or 50 mm F1.4 or F1.8 F1.8 would be nice. The kit lens that comes with the camera would be good too. Keep in mind that the goal you mention is right in the middle of the range you have. The only real advantage is that it is a goal much faster. This means you need less light to take a picture. It will also give a depth of field. Remember 35mm F1.8 with no catch. The lens is fixed at 35 mm. Set your 18-55mm lens to 35mm and this is the same field of vision and the will of 35 mm.
