Sony A330, nikon d3000 or Canon Rebel XS. Which is better?
So then. I'm going to New York in April 2010 with my U.S. history class AP. It should be fun. Now, I've always had little interest in photography, taking photos at parties and football games my brother and type. However, I begin exploring the technical side of the hobby. As of now, has been reduced to three cameras. The Sony Alpha 330 The D3000 Nikon and Canon Rebel XS As this is my first digital SLR, I will not go higher than $ 650. I'm very concerned about the size, and do not really have an absolute preference, though I'm a little tilted away from the Canon. I'm not sure about me that I can test them for your information. I guess I'm not so much looking for a definitive winner, of course, already. Only some opinions. Oh, and I have already read the dpreview cameralabs and comments. Any help is greatly appreciated!
I would recommend the kit D3000 with 18-55mm VR ($ 529.00 including camerakings.com free shipping). The D3000 is a very easy camera for a beginner to learn and use (it has a guide function of Nice), to mention just exiting the market as holding its resale value very well. Furthermore, the purpose of the kit has D3000 (VR) technology to reduce vibration, making the D3000 a great value. Outside the group, the D3000 is probably the best pictures. (The Canon XS 1000D) about $ 485.00 for the kit and the XSi (450D) about 579.00 dollars for the kit, you get a number of features little more for your money, but I always prefer the Nikon, so I'm a little biased towards them. If you really Like I would recommend the Canon XSi (450D). Some people, like Live View, but a real photographer Live View is something of a trick and held open the shutter to allow more land received by the sensor. One of the main reasons I prefer the Nikon over the Canon and Sony, is that they are independent autofocus assist lamp integrated in the body while the Canon and Sony use their flash to perform this function. In certain situations, using the flash as AF assist light can interfere with your shot. The only thing that really I like Sony is that it has image stabilization (IS) incorporated in the body so any lens you use will benefit from this technology. Yes, the lenses with VR or IS more expensive, but if you shop around and consider third party lenses like Tamron or Sigma, which are quite affordable. If you must have display vivo, then Sony has the better implementation of live view, because they have a secondary sensor for this purpose. The best deals we could find to A330 kit is $ 489.00 with 18-55mm and $ 629.00 with 18-55mm and 55-200mm Lens with free shipping (camerakings.com). If you decide to get the A330 (this applies the other cameras, so), remember, if you decide to use older lenses originally for film cameras 35 mm, then you need to multiply the lens focal length of 1.5 due to lower digital sensor size compared to a full frame of 35mm film. What this means is that a 50mm lens become a 75mm lens and 28-200mm would become a 42-300mm. I would not be too hung up in qualifying megapixel camera because this is not really a factor.
