Nikon D40 powder help?
hi all my pictures I have taken a small black dot that I have looked in the sensor and seems to have nothing in it.I also have tryed cleaning the lens, but the point is still there. How can I stop this in my Nikon D40 Thanks
You appear to have dust on the sensor, but you might have dead pixels. If the point is very well defined dead pixels, if a "bubble" generally in heaven is sensor dust. This technique be shown to everyone. In Photoshop or similar lifting a blank canvas and fill the screen (press the "F" key twice in Photoshop) all you need is a white screen you can use a blank Word document, or whatever. Set the camera on aperture priority and a small opening Av f22 or so, take a picture while the camera moves around the screen, the focus is not important. Import your image and make it great, you will see every piece of dust, every hair and every pixel dead, they are very well defined. If you find dust (and probably) the lens off, go clean the sensor on the menu, and holding the camera backwards to try a fan of rockets, no more than that, it uses compressed air with pollutants in them. Cleaning the sensor is not as difficult as people does not, make sure your battery is full (so the shutter does not close on you without warning) and the use of these pills right Eclipse fluid and follow the instructions. Available (UK) here. Http: / / www.cameraclean.co.uk/ If he's dead pixels and the camera is still under warranty take it and let them change the sensor. Chris
