Is the Nikon D40 have image stabilization with the standard lens?
I want to buy a digital SLR camera and basic entry level I've heard good things about the D40, but on tests and lists the features I've ever mentioned anything about image stabilization. I have curiosity if the D40 has this and if not how big a deal it really is. They also told me that the Canon cameras (XT and XTi) the offer image stabilization … if this is the case, then is that a reason to buy the Canon over the Nikon?
Canon and Nikon offer reduced vibration / image stabilization in their lenses. Nikon technology called "virtual reality" and Canon is called "ES." You need to buy a lens with the technology built into it. Other manufacturers, as Pentax, Sony and Olympus, offer the technology in their camera bodies, so it works with any lens you use. As for how much is the function, Photographers have great photos over 100 years without it, so it's not as if it makes the difference between a good and bad camera. It is a feature useful, however, especially when using lenses over 100 mm in the control lights when your handshake and slower shutter may appear and blur images. – Disclosure: I am the owner www.lenslenders.com lens rentals in Canada.
