I have a Nikon Coolpix L18, but no computer will recognize the SD card or USB cable, help?
It came with a CD ROM for software, but can not find anywhere and not know what I was asked to download or how or where.
The CD we're talking about is the driver software from the camera, and can usually be downloaded from the Nikon website, either in support or downloads. Have you tried putting the card into a reader? when you say the computer does not recognize, does say that the automatic gearbox goes not appear? or entered into My Computer and the card is not seen as a removable disk drive? When you connect the camera to the computer with USB cable, make sure the camera is turned on batteries and have a lot of power. If a window does not appear that rises automatically, go to My Computer and find your camera. If you can see the camera or memory card My PC has been recognized, and you should be able to copy and paste the image files to your computer. If you have not been able to test a reader USB card and the camera does not connect even with the driver software, spend $ 10 on a card reader, and follow the steps to control my computer that I described above. If that fails, maybe there's something wrong with your computer's USB port. Try a different port, or try your card in a photo kiosk in a department or camera store. This failure to discard a card or camera. This is all based on the assumption that you are using a PC. I hope this is helpful.
