which is the best lens for all round photography (Nikon D40) I am a student can not spend much money on it.?
It would be nice if you could tell me your opinion on the best lens for landscape and close up (macro?) photograph. My price range is just under 250 pounds. Also, lenses cheaper in the UK or the U.S..
i own use, and I love my d40. and 99% of the time, the aim of this is that my AF-S 35 mm f / 1.8. Has about the same perspective as normal (50 mm) of the 35 mm. As for you, if you find that my kit lens (18-55mm) is ideal for landscapes and macro, as it focuses almost as close as a dedicated macro lens, and they are very expensive. I just use the 35 mm, because I like the extra speed of depth of field and night photography. with a lens set also makes me walk more and more involved in my image. i think the composition rather than snap snap snap. but to each his own. I think kit lens (which comes with the D40) would be better, or 35 mm.
